Five Questions: Rob Romoni

You probably remember Rob Romoni from movies like Bolt, Wet Palms, Straight to Bed and Taking Flight. Those movies came out between 2004 and 2005, but for the last few years, Romoni has kept a fairly low profile—at least when it comes to making movies. In his copious spare time, the sexy muscle hunk has done a fairly good job at keeping his name in the public consciousness via Facebook and Twitter. So much so that his constant Tweeting recently raised the ire of his bud Matthew Rush. A Twitter blow-up ensued, followed by an apology from Rush, and Romoni was suddenly thrust back into the spotlight in a way he hadn't been since he appeared in 2005's The Long Hot Summer.

We caught up with the erstwhile social networking addict to find out what he thought of Rush's latest meltdown, when he might return to movies, and whether or not he'd work with Matthew again. Find out what he has to say after the jump.

Five Questions with Rob Romoni

1. You’ve been out of the public eye for a while now. How come you haven’t been performing as much? Are you retired?
I decided to take some time off to pursue other projects outside the adult industry. It seems many other models have done the same and are now coming back. It wasn't that I left the industry; I still maintained many friendships I have been blessed with. 

2. You were back in the spotlight in a big way recently when Matthew Rush posted those nasty Tweets about you on Twitter. Were you surprised? What did you think of his apology?
I have to admit I was shocked, but you have to be on Twitter to understand how it works. It's a network site and so many in our industry are on it now. I am not going to ignore a Tweet from fans or friends just because someone might not like it and some answers might be just one word. You can always reset your account notification alerts. I must be doing something right with my full network being over 12,000 people. As for his apology, my thoughts are to just accept it and move on. 

3. Well, you are King of the Tweet and Facebook status update. If you could make a Facebook or Twitter-themed movie, what would the plot be?
King of the Tweet! I like that. [Laughs] I would definitely make a movie about Facebook/Twitter called Twitterbook about a hot guy who uses the "Twitterbook" that he finds at the house of the previous night's Facebook hook-up. He steals the Twitterbook and comes to realize how much power the book has in finding the hottest men on Twit/Facebook to fuck and live out all his fantasies. But there is a catch: With every hot fuck hook-up he finds on Twitter/Facebook, he ages. He soon will have to make the biggest choice of his life. Does he keep the book, or give it to someone knowing what will happen to them and he must not tell them the hidden secret of the book in order for him to stay his age? I'd have to play the role.

4. Wow. You really do have a lot of time on your hands, don't you? Maybe you and Matthew should do one of those hot wrestling porn videos together, only you would wrestle for real before having sex on the mat. Who would win?
That's one kind of movie I would love to do, ever since filming Taking Flight from Falcon with Matthew. I have been asked if we would work together again, and I have always been open to that idea. In regards to winning, we will see on set. Let's do it Matthew!!

5. So, the question all your fans want to know the answer to: When the hell might we be able to see you in another movie?
I have been asked that a lot lately on the network sites and via phone calls. And, after having an incredible trip to Chicago for the Grabbys, many studios are now asking the same. I will no doubt be making some of my best movies this year. I am looking forward to taking what I can do to the highest level of hot sweaty sex, and there are many in the freshmen class of models I am eyeing up and I am ready to get it done. I have not retired and I am looking forward to making some hot movies in 2009. Get the lube ready!
